Project Title: Development of the Bonocle Platform
Bonocle is a Qatari startup that is creating the first ever braille entertainment platform for the blind. It provides an additional layer of access to digital content and becomes a tool to access productivity apps, educational content or games. With Bonocle, the aim is to integrate blind people into our classrooms and work spaces while having equal access to digital content. Bonocle will work alongside smart devices to expand on its computing power while providing modularity to suit the biggest number of users. It also utilizes braille, haptics, motion and audio to unlock the ability to convey much more complex information and content. This project aims at developing Bonocle as a platform from both the hardware and software aspect including the electronics, plastic design as well as creating an app in each category.
