Mr Hamad AL Kuwari, MD QSTP

As the managing director, Al Kuwari leads all operational and strategic aspects of Qatar Science & Technology Park development including Free Zone, distinguished accelerator program, and technology-based incubation. Within this role, he also identifies areas for synergies between resident companies while maintaining and enhancing liaison with governmental agencies over Free Zone legislations.
Al Kuwari is appointed on the Board of Trustees of Qatar Academy Sidra and he is also a member of the limited tender committee of Qatar Foundation, as well as the Chairman of Qatar Science & Technology S.P.C. Previously, Hamad served as board member on the Joint Advisory Board (JAB) for Texas A&M University in Qatar for four years.
Hamad Al Kuwari holds a Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering from McNeese State University in Louisiana, USA, and a Master in Business Administration (MBA) from Qatar University. Prior to joining QSTP, he was the Head of Mechanical Maintenance and Head of Maintenance support at ORYX GTL.  At QP, he held started his career in Offshore Projects department and then in Major Projects department.

Ms Haya Al Ghanim, Innovation Director, QSTP

Haya’s career has been focused on enabling entrepreneurs to achieve their potential. She is 2014 MIT Sloan MBA graduate with a B.A. in Molecular, Cellular and Developmental Biology from the University of Colorado – Boulder. She’s currently the Innovation Director at the Qatar Science e& Technology Park (QSTP) where she focuses on creating an environment supportive of technology ventures. Haya is also an amateur athlete, angel investor and former co-Managing Director of the MIT $100K Entrepreneurship Competition.

Dr Salvino A. Salvaggio , Project Manager, QSTP

Salvino brings over 25 years of work experience, with extensive management, business building and consulting skills across several technology-intensive industries. Salvino focuses mostly on business planning, portfolio management, new markets creation, execution and implementation. He is a seasoned manager with a clear strategic perspective, an entrepreneurial mindset, and a very pragmatic approach to get things done, on target, on time and in budget. He is an expert in industries such as TMT (Telecom, Media, Technology), telemedicine or data analysis. Salvino’s vast international exposure gives him a good idea of global market trends as well as an in-depth knowledge of the emerging markets.
In 2007, Salvino received one of the highest Italian civil decorations by being designated a “Commander of the Republic” by the Italian President.
Among others, Salvino also worked for McKinsey and Co, Accenture and a number of universities and research centres around the globe. He published scientific books, gastronomy essays, a novel, food & restaurant critiques and several articles in academic, scientific and professional journals and reviews. His novel won two first European literary awards.

From Korea:

Mr Chanwoo Lee, President of the security division at Duzon Bizon

Chanwoo Lee was the co-founder/CEO  of  Duzon ISS(Information Security & Services) from 2005 to 2015. According to M&A, he is the president of the security division at Duzon Bizon since 2015, with a back ground in engineering and over 30 years expierences in ICT business. Chanwoo Lee is currently holding position as Vice Chairman of Korea Forensic Academic Society, Chairman of Korea Digital Forensic Industry Forum, Board Member of CSA(Cloud Security Association) Korea and the Korea e-Discovery Research Association. Studied engineering (BS) at the Korea Aerospace University and Business Administration (MBA) at the Helsinki School of Economics.

Ms HyunJung Lee, Researcher of Global strategy planning team of Korea Institute for Adancement of Technology

Ms. Lee is a researcher in the Global Strategy Planning Team of KIAT. She is responsible for international industrial technology cooperation with Asian countries including the middle-east region. Also, she plans international R&D infrastructure programs. Before this she was in charge of evaluation and management of international R&D projects from 2011 to 2014, and managed “global R&D academy” for Korean companies which are interested in cooperating with other countries.

Mr James Jung-wook Kim, Team leader of Global strategy planning team of Korea Institute for Adancement of Technology

Mr. Kim is currently the team manager of Global Strategy Planning Team and has served as the representative of KIAT US office in Atlanta Georgia. After his joining KIAT in 2002, he has contributed in the area of building high-tech R&D strategies for Korean government, and creating and managing numerous international collaboration projects.
Before joining KIAT, he has been with Samsung SDI, Korea, in the HR managing and strategy department for 5 years. He received the global management MBA degree from Helsinki School of Economics. Also he received BS degree at the department of electronic engineering at Sogang University, Seoul Korea in 1997.

Dr Shinje Kim, CEO, F&P

Dr. Shinje Kim is CEO of F&P Co., Ltd., and also serves as head of research center of the company since the foundation in 2003. She also serves as Chairman in the Korean Society of Rapeseeds and an adjunct professor in Korea University. She was a postgraduate researcher in the University of California at Davis, U.S.A., and she performed as Senior Researcher in a number of companies & Research Center.
