Houston Huang is the Chairman of PEC International Group Limited based in Hong Kong. He is also the founder and Chairman of Nexx Global Limited, Asia’s first WaaS (Warehouse as a Service) logistics technology platform. Additionally, he serves as the co-Chairman and chief advisor of DaVinci Motor, a leading Chinese automaker of high-performance electric motor vehicles.
Houston is a prolific investment banking professional with over 30 years of experience at the forefront of several well-known privatization, fundraising, and M&A (mergers and acquisitions) projects in multiple industries in China. He has spearheaded many franchise and milestone transactions which were the first-of-their-kind in the international capital market.
Previously, he held a number of influential leadership and advisory positions at J.P. Morgan China for seven years, in capacities such as chief executive officer, legal representative, as well as head of investment banking. While there, Houston led the first systematic organizational restructure in the 200-year history of the investment banking industry and recommended an innovative ‘all-in-tech’ investment banking service model.
Before that Houston was the head of the China Industrials Group for Goldman Sachs (2011-2015). He also had held several positions at China International Capital Corporation Limited (CICC) for 11 years, climbing up the ladder from an associate to become a member of the core management team.
As an expert advisor, Houston has also provided vital guidance to government authorities and the State Council in China particularly around their Healthcare Reforms Program.
Houston is registered with the Financial Services Authority (FSA) in the United Kingdom, the Securities and Futures Commissions (SFS) in Hong Kong, and Chinese Securities Regulatory Committee (CSRC) in China. He attained his certification from the Private Equity Program of the Oxford Said Business School.
