Dr. Jack Lau is the President of Qatar Science & Technology Park. He has a long and distinguished track record in entrepreneurship that bridges technology and academia, and in driving sustainable and wide-ranging ventures in fields including Artificial Intelligence, multimedia, banking software, blockchain technology, healthcare, and agriculture.
A practitioner and professor in design thinking and Artificial Intelligence who has personally been awarded 20 patents, and the CEO of multiple startups who collectively have developed 45 patented technologies, Dr. Lau has widespread experience in formulating technology incubation policy and supporting and enabling venture funding for startups. He is also a Professor at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, specializing in Artificial Intelligence for financial technology, and design thinking and entrepreneurship.
